last fall (past watermelon season) we had one of those little round ones...my son was so excited to eat it he was sitting on the counter right next to where i was going to cut it...as soon as the knife pierced the skin, it exploded and we were covered in rotten watermelon juice...yuck!!
we returned it to the store...it was super expensive...instead of just getting a refund, we stupidly got another one which promptly exploded as soon as we cut into it. i think he cried cause he wanted to eat it so bad. he thought the explosions were cool, but not cool enough to make up for the lack of eating one last piece of watermelon.
i actually tend to feel like a boss when i butcher those stubborn watermelons into neat little slices, but maybe that's just me? watermelon is kinda a favorite all year treat for me :) xx
Yesterday I texted my boyfriend and said "I want watermelon". That was it. Ten minutes later he sent me a picture of one and said "Seedless, ok?" He went all the way to Walmart to buy me one just bc I said that. And we hate Walmart. More than anything. Most romantic thing ever lol. Watermelons>Flowers.

LOL very true! I love fruit, especially pineapple, but it's such a pain in the butt to chop up! :/
